TITLE: WORKING IN THE MISSIONARY WORK WITH A POSITIVE MIND Dr. William Soto Santiago Tuesday, August 25, 1998 (Third activity) Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico
**Scripture: 1 Corinthians 3:5-23** **THE ANOINTED STONE IN BET-EL ** _Dr. William Soto Santiago _ _Thursday, August 6, 1998 _ _Waco, Texas, United States_ Now look, Nimrod wanted to build a tower1 that rested on the Earth and its upper part reached the sky, that is, he wanted to imitate what God would later show Jacob. What did Nimrod want to imitate? He wanted to imitate the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. And that is why God didn’t allow him to do what he wanted to do. (...) And now notice, everything that is outside the Divine Program, pertaining to the House of God, to the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ (the House of God represented in Bethel, and also represented in that ladder that rested on earth and its other end reached heaven), everything that is not the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ (which is represented there), everything that is different from the Church of Jesus Christ, will be in what? In confusion. Like Nimrod and the people of his time who built the tower: It wasn’t the tower of Babel, but when God confused the people who were working there and confused their tongues, it became the tower of Babel; in other words, with what God did, the name came to that tower, in other words, to that building they were building. Surely the name they would give it was the name of Nimrod, who was the king of that territory, the first king, the first powerful one and the first man who had an army. And now, God gave it the relevant name, because he wanted to do what God would do in His Program. (...) Notice, the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ has also been going through a path to the promised land of the glorious Millennial Kingdom. But notice, about two thousand years have already passed from Christ until now; and some people who have become desperate through this journey, at some age they have become desperate, because they have wished that the Millennial Kingdom is on Earth, in other words, they have wished to reach the promised land of the glorious Millennial Kingdom and the promised land of the new body; but there is a purpose in all this journey, which we need to understand because otherwise we despair and we think that we will never arrive. And do you know who didn’t show up? Those who were desperate and thought they would never arrive. But Joshua and Caleb believed that they would arrive because they went out to arrive; and they arrived to the promised land. They remained faithful to God. There is the secret. Staying faithful to God and the prophet Moses, guaranteed them the departure from Egypt and the arrival to the promised land. Now, look what happens when you are in that stage where the person leaves the world by receiving Christ as their Savior and enters that journey in their life; and also the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. Now, in chapter 8, verse 1 and on, from Deuteronomy, it says: _“All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers._ _And thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.”_ Why did He bring them out into the wilderness for forty years? To test them and to know what was in their heart; for when one goes through trials is when what is in people’s hearts comes out. And in order to know whether or not they would keep the commandments of God; because when people are in the good stages, they say: “Oh, how good is our God,” and they thank God and they are very happy; but when difficult times come in people’s lives, some think that God is not with them or that God doesn’t exist, and some depart from God and speak things that it is not convenient for them to speak. And that is what happened with the Hebrew people. [Rev. Jose B. Perez] And I want to read here a part of the message… this was preached by Reverend William Branham, “WHY CRY? SPEAK!”2 and it says a little part here… from page 13, it says: “68 And now Moses had all this as a background, so Moses he was sent for the very purpose to deliver the children of Israel.69 See, all the background just heaps up.”[Rev. Jose B. Perez] And there brother William says: [WSS] «Moses knew that he was sent to deliver Israel». And on the other side he says: [WSS] «Moses knew». “When you get anything, and can bring the Bible, saying, ‘This is going to happen,’ and here it happens; ‘and this is going to be at that time,’ here it happens; ‘and this is going to be at that certain time,’ there it happens; then it all accumulates together and draws a picture for us.70 Oh, how this tabernacle this morning, how we people of this hour, Brother Neville, as we see the gray striking our hair, and our shoulders stooping, when we see the world weaving and rocking as it is, and how we can look around and see the promise is drawing nigh! It’s, it... I think, many times, if someone could just bounce into It at once, and wouldn’t understand It, or would understand It, rather, and come into It at once, it would almost send you to Eternity, just with such a rapturing thing! And never knowed it, and just, oh, break through the things that we have seen and know and understand, and all bounce in at one time. The man, or the woman, boy, or girl, would just probably lift up their hands and say, ‘Let’s go, Lord Jesus,’ you see. Oh, how the hour is so close!71 Moses knowing that he was born for that purpose, and looked out of the windows and watched them Hebrews as they toiled; looked back here in the Scripture, and it said, ‘And they shall sojourn four hundred years,’ see, ‘but I will bring them out with a mighty hand.’ Then when he comes back, after a commission, anointed, knowed that he was born...And his faith looked, by faith he saw those people and knowed they were the children of God, ’cause the world...the—the Word said so.”[Rev. Jose B. Perez] And brother William says, he writes there: [WSS] «Moses knew that those were the children of God, just as the Latin Americans and Caribbeans are. The elect are there».[Rev. Jose B. Perez] Brother Branham goes on to say: “[71] They wasn’t of the world, and wasn’t like the rest of them. They were different. And they were cranks and fanatics, to the— the high glamour of Egypt; and he was to be the son of Pharaoh, taking the kingdom over, and next. But, he, there was something down in him, a—a real faith that looked not at those things, the glamour that he was to inherit. He looked at the promise of God, and he knowed that the time was drawing nigh. And what that man must have thought of!72 I want to talk it over with him, someday, when I meet him on the other side. You say, “Crazy, brother!” No, it isn’t. I’m going to meet him, by the grace of God. Yes, sir. I’ll talk to him, someday, Moses himself. And how I would like to ask him, just how, when he seen his preparation!73 How the flusteration, the devil saying, ‘Aw, the people ain’t going to believe you. Huh-uh. There—there is nothing to that.’74 But when that seed come to Life up there, something struck him, and he knew there was something going to take place. He knew. Looked at—at the clock and seen what time it was, and he knew, and how he must of thought as he watched. Now when he got all this together, all this great thing that he seen; the Scripture time, the prayer of his mother and his father, and he was borned a peculiar birth, an odd child. And, all along, there had been something way down in him.75 And now he slips off and tries to think he would take his military training from his school, and deliver the children, and that failed.76 Then he goes up into the wilderness and marries a—a lovely Ethiopian girl, and they had a little boy named Gershom.77 And one day while attending the flock, all at once he seen a burning bush up on top of the mountain, burning. And he went up there. And not an intellectual, not a—an imagination, not a delusion, a optical illusion, but in him...There was the God of Abraham, in a Light, a Pillar of Fire back in a bush, that Fire, like waves going out, but it didn’t bother the bush. And the Voice of the Scripture, the Voice of God, spoke through there, and said, “I have chosen you. You are the man. I raised you up for this purpose. I’m proving to you here, by signs, you’re going down to deliver the children because My Word has got to be fulfilled.78 Oh, His Word of this day has got to be fulfilled. We’re living in the hour. No matter what anyone else says, the Word has to be fulfilled. Heavens and earth will pass away, but not His Word.”[Rev. Jose B. Perez] And here, brother William says, he writes: [WSS] «The Voice of the Scripture = the Voice of God in the bush. And today the Voice of the Scripture was speaking in brother Branham and calling Moses on Mount Zion».[Rev. Jose B. Perez] And in the message “IT IS THE RISING OF THE SUN”...And excuse me for taking this little time, in this part of reading some… sharing with you some of these Scriptures, which I consider that they are, as he told me, [WSS] “all of that will be of great blessing; and it is going to be used.” And I, well, I have seen that in a way… as we do it, in a simple way, God is allowing us little by little to see all these things that for us are of great blessing; and maybe for some not; maybe for some… let’s say, as I was telling you on… (I think it was on Friday or Saturday… there was a day of the week, I think it was on, I do not remember if it was), I think it was on January 1st , that with sincerity and with the love I have for you and everything, I read to you… because what I did was to read to you all this that he had already told me, and I had written it down.And… Although we know that the Third Pull, there is something there that will remain… If the Angel was told not to say – if the Angel told brother Branham: “You are not going to say anything about this…”; so one must also be very careful, very cautious. And that day I told you that if you did not, well (let’s say), if you did not agree (or something like that I told you), then to start praying for brother Miguel and for me, and for the ministers; praying for each other; and not to start to… let’s say, to attack each other. And they did exactly that. Not all of them, but some of them did. And that then… may God have mercy on all of them, because in this Third Pull, which is the stage of the spoken Word, which is the stage where we are all being tested, we have to be very careful.And I, well, all this that I am bringing to you, that is why I ask you to excuse me, that sometimes I take a little more time; do not think that I want… No. All this has a purpose, and what I do is share with you —I do it with much love— all that the Lord has allowed me to have; and thus to be able to share with you, and to be reverent in this.No… let’s say… Some: “No, when Benjie was speaking I stood up and left because I was called from such and such a place.” Well, he is irresponsible and irreverent too. When the Word is being given by the mouth of (let’s say) whoever is giving it, it is still the Word of God. Brother Miguel, a pastor, even a child who reads it, the person has to be reverent; not one disrespectful before the Word of God.“No, they called me there, because I…” Well, brother, you have got yourself into a lot of trouble with God.One has to be —in the things of God— serious and reverent. You should be ashamed!, that later the congregation asks you: “Hey, and what did you talk about in the meeting of ministers with brother Miguel?, how was all that, brother?, what did they say or what?” He has nothing to tell them: “No, I went there, I had a commitment and they called me about such and such, this, that.” That does not give the rapturing faith to the person, to the elect of that congregation; that, rather, what it brings them is another type of faith; not the rapturing faith.When one is at the moment of speaking the Word, both… First the messenger!, when he is giving it in a video, in audio, one has to be reverent; and also when brother Miguel is speaking, when a pastor is giving it, even a child (as I told you). Every Word that is spoken ([through] a human being) one must take it with reverence, and be reverent to that; because we will give an account to God for that.That is why I ask you that this little time that I am taking to read all this to you, I do it with much love, so that we may understand a little further. Although the Word is already, let’s say, the Message is already there, God already brings it already interpreted, God already brings it, it is already ready, as it is. It is God through His Holy Spirit who reveals it to each one of us. And what we do not understand at the moment, God opens our understanding day by day. It is not just any person who opens it. It is the Holy Spirit who is revealing to us day by day this knowledge and this revelation that God has brought through His prophets; and at this time through His Angel Messenger William Soto Santiago.It is the Holy Spirit who reveals everything to us, but what I am talking about are some notes, some writings that he told me: [WSS] “Someday you are going to use them,” and that is why I am sharing them with you.I’m not adding anything to the Message, nor am I… because some people say: “No, that Benjie is saying something about…” No, this is not from my own mind, nor… No. This is what is spoken, or what is written there by brother William.And I make this comment, this parenthesis, to tell you why… some people say to me: “Hey, where are you reading from?” Well, it is from the messages he left; and as he told me: [WSS] “In the books, there you will find and you will see… (see?, that which was there),” so, maybe a little bit clearer; that maybe, at that time, him being here, he could not speak it openly.That is why there is a part that Jesus said: “Do not speak these things until the Son of Man is glorified, or until the Son of Man is taken prisoner, is taken away, or until it happens, let’s say, that He leaves the scene; then you can speak it.”3 And the time has come to speak these things, and I hope you take them with respect, and that what I do, is that I do it with love (as I repeat), and that you treasure it in your heart.And if we do not understand… I myself have read things that I do not… And I say: “Hey, I am not going to read it because I do not understand this; this is very difficult to understand. God, give me wisdom, give me understanding, at the time of connecting it to some study,” and I see how God helps us in everything.Look at brother Miguel: when there is a subject, many times he talks about… and there you see how the Holy Spirit works in everything he reads to us. And so it is the same way… when we take a Scripture from a message. God, if we do not understand it at the moment, God shows it in other messages, we see all these things more clearly.Well, I wanted to make this (let’s say) this clarification, or this comment, of why I am reading these little notes here from brother William; within the Message of brother Branham.He says: [WSS] «The Voice….». I left off, I think it was, there he writes, there brother William says, he writes: [WSS] «The Voice of the Scripture = the Voice of God in the bush».And he writes below: [WSS] «And today the Voice of the Scripture in WMB (in William Marrion Branham) was speaking and calling Moses in Mount Zion».And there he places page 22, 23 and 36 of this same message; and also on page, in the message “IT IS THE RISING OF THE SUN,”4 of brother Branham (of April 18, 1965, a.m.). It says on page 47:“320 If I can get myself out of the way, so when William Branham not even thought of, and you not even thought of, till we can see Jesus glorified among us. See Him, that’s our desire. That’s the quick-... gives us the quickening Power. And it gives us joy, to know that we are with Him, both flesh and bone of Him, being the Bride of Him; and seeing His same vindicated methods, proving in us that He is now risen from the dead. See?321 No wonder He said, ‘Fear not’, for now, notice, we are redeemed by Him, and now risen with Him. That’s what Easter means to the people, “risen with Him”! Notice. Now we have His Spirit in us, the abstract deed fully paid.322 No, you don’t say, ‘Well, I hope I make it.’ You’ve already made it. Not, ‘I will make it.’ I’ve already made it. I never made it; He made it for me. See? Not me; Him! ‘Well, Brother Branham, they say…’ I don’t care what they say. There He made it, for me. That’s all I want, I’m caring about.323 I just—I just want to see Him manifested. (I believe I read this in one of the other previous excerpts. It says) How can you do it, call Him down? No. He is in you. See, He is in you. “Well, then, Lord, if I can get myself out of the way, You can manifest. Myself...How can You do it? Because You ordained it so. ‘All that the Father has given Me will come.’” And brother William there writes: [WSS] «How to make Him manifest Himself? (With Elijah and Moses)». See? As he says there: “How can you do it?, call Him down?”And here he already says there was that Voice of Scripture. He says: [WSS] «He was calling Moses on Mount Zion». Brother William wrote there.[Rev. Jose B. Perez] And he continues saying here, in this same message… “WHY CRY?, SPEAK!,”5 on page 36 it says:“[229] Oh, if that isn’t human being! My! So He just must got pretty well fed up on it.230 And He said, ‘You know you have need of it. You know if you’re going to take these children over to that promised land, that’s exactly, you’re penned up here in a corner, there ain’t nothing else you can do. So there’s a need. What are you crying to Me about? What you looking at Me for? What you calling on Me about? Haven’t I proved it to the people? Haven’t I proved it to you? Haven’t I called it? Isn’t it Scriptural? Didn’t I promise to take this people to that land? Didn’t I call you and tell you I would do it? Didn’t I call and say I had sent you to do it, that it wasn’t you, it was Me? And I’d go down and I’d be with your lips, and whatever you said, I’d a vindicate it and prove it. Haven’t I done it?’231 ‘Then, when any little thing comes up, why you act like a baby? You ought to be a man. Speak to the people,’ (Already mature, we must be mature already, grown men already). amen, ‘then move forward!’ Amen. There you are. ‘Don’t cry. Speak!’ Amen.Oh, I like that. ‘Why you crying to Me about? Just speak to the people and go forward to your objective. Whatever it is, if it’s sickness, or whatever it is, to raise the dead, or whatever it is, speak! I’ve proved it. Speak to the people.’232 What a lesson! What a lesson, oh, my, at this stage of the journey where we are standing. Look where we’re at now, yes, sir, at the Third Pull. Notice, we’re right here at the door, of the Coming of the Lord.”[Rev. Jose B. Perez] And he says: [WSS] «Third Pull in Moses: do not cry out, speak!». And he writes, Third Pull is: [WSS] «3rd Pull in Moses», that is, Third Pull in Moses.“233 He was anointed for the job, and still waiting for THUS SAITH THE LORD. God must just have got enough of it. He said, ‘’Don’t cry anymore. Speak! I sent you.’234 O God, what this Church ought to be this morning! With God’s perfect vindication, with the Pillar of Fire and the signs and the wonders, everything just like it was in the days of Sodom.”[Rev. Jose B. Perez] And… Let me see if I had already read to you the entire part here that… Yes, I had already read to you that other part; but to finish here and read to you what he wrote next to it, so that it goes with this that… maybe it does not have to do with the subject, maybe; but let’s read it, since it is there, let’s continue down there. It says:“[234] He said it would return back.235 Here is the world in its condition. There is the nation in its condition. There is the women in the condition. There is the men in the condition. There is the church in the condition. There is everything. The elements, the signs, flying saucers and everything in the skies, and all kind of mysterious things, and the sea roaring, tidal waves, man’s heart failing, fear, perplexed of time, distress between nations, the church falling away.236 And the man of sin rising up, who upholds himself above all; who is called God, he that sitteth in a temple of God, showing himself, oh, my, and has come to this nation. And the church has organized, and all of them gathered together, as harlots to the whore, and everything exactly in the way whoredom.”[Rev. Jose B. Perez] And there brother William says: [WSS] «The man of sin, 666, visited USA», in other words, the United States. Surely at that time the visit the the pope had to the United States. And further on it says: “239 Speak to the people, and let’s go forward. Amen. We got an objective, that’s Glory. Let’s move to It. We’re headed to the promised Land. ‘All things are possible to them that believe.’ ‘Speak to the people.’”[Rev. Jose B. Perez] And our brother William continues here saying in this excerpt:(...) Now, since Moses broke the type and figure there, the Second Coming of Christ will be persecuted as the First Coming of Christ was persecuted, and it will have the equivalent to what was the crucifixion of the First Coming of Christ; in other words, it will not be a physical crucifixion but a spiritual crucifixion, for those who will reject the Second Coming of Christ. And the builders who casted aside, rejected the First Coming of Christ and asked for His death, His crucifixion, the builders of the Last Day, of Christianity, that are found fighting against the Second Coming of Christ: will be held by God in the same way as those who rejected the First Coming of Christ, the builders, the religious leaders of Judaism, who rejected the First Coming of Christ, the Coming of the Cornerstone, the Stone that the builders rejected, which has become the head of the corner.6Now, there will be builders in the midst of the spiritual Israel, in the midst of Christianity, that in the fulfillment of the Second Coming of Christ will rise against the Second Coming of Christ; and they will be held accountable just as those who rejected, those who cast away the First Coming of Christ, they rejected the Cornerstone that came in the midst of the Hebrew people, they rejected the Rock that Moses wounded with his rod there in front of Mount Sinai. And now, for the Last Day there will be some who will reject the Stone not cut by hands in His Second Coming, which the prophet Daniel saw and interpreted to king Nebuchadnezzar in the dream he had when he saw an image (in other words, a statue) that represents the kingdom of the gentiles; and he saw a stone come out of the mountain, not cut out by hands, and smote the image in the feet of iron and clay, and shred them into pieces; and so He shredded the iron and clay into pieces, and shredded into pieces the legs of iron, and shredded into pieces the thighs and the belly of brass, and shredded into pieces the breast and the arms of silver, and the head of gold. That Stone is the Second Coming of Christ. (...) And now, notice how for this end time, for the Age of the Cornerstone, which is the top of Jacob’s Ladder, it is that the Stone not cut from hands comes with a new name, that Rock comes, that Stone with a new name. And to smite that Rock means, for the people who do it, the same as it meant for Moses and Aaron: that they will not enter the promised land. They can’t be transformed and raptured and taken to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb in Heaven nor to the glorious Millennial Kingdom of Christ. Because Moses, you see, by wounding the rock with anger… Notice, many people will do so too, with anger, as they did in the First Coming of Christ, who were filled with anger and asked for the death of Christ, and was crucified by the Romans. And now many will rise in this end time against the Second Coming of Christ with anger, in the fulfillment of the Coming of the Stone not cut from hands, and they will be held accountable for Christ’s crucifixion just as those people. (...) Notice, Moses would only see the promised land. He wouldn’t enter the promised land in his physical body, on the other side of the Jordan, because of what he did. Even though he did God’s will, to give water to the people from the rock, he did it in the wrong way: by wounding the rock, when he had to speak to the rock. That is why we can’t do the Work of God, work in the Work of God with anger, but with divine love, so that God may be pleased with us. God wasn’t pleased with Moses with the way that he did the Work of God at that time, although it produced the water. And so it is with us: if we do the Work of God with anger: the Message will always reach people and it will be a blessing for people, but for us, if we are doing it out of anger, we don’t have God’s blessing, and God will not be happy with us. But if we do all the work in the Kingdom of God with divine love, God will be very happy with us; and the Word, the Message, will reach the people, the Water of Eternal Life will come. He says: “To him that is thirsty, I will give of the Fountain of the Water of Life.” (Revelation, chapter 21, verse 6). [Rev. Jose B. Perez] May God help us at this time to do as the messenger tells us there, to work in the Work of the Lord with divine love; and may we be found faithful, faithful administrators of all these mysteries of the Kingdom of God.* * *
