BIBLE STUDY #458 – FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25, 2024
Second activity
[Dr. Jose B. Perez] Good evening to all those who are connected through the Amazonas satellite and the Eutelsat 8 satellite, and also through the internet, in different countries, today, Friday, October 25, 2024.
Warm greetings to Missionary Miguel Bermudez Marin where he is, and all the ministers, brothers and sisters who are there with him.
The subject for today is:
WOMEN WHO SERVE CHRIST
Dr. William Soto Santiago
Thursday, May 29, 2014
Valencia, Carabobo, Venezuela
[Dr. Jose B. Perez] It tells us in John, chapter 9, the Gospel according to John, chapter 9, verse 35 and on. This was after Jesus healed a man who was blind from birth, who was cast out after testifying what Jesus had done. Look, it says, verse 35:
John 9:35
35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?
36 He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?
37 And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.
38 And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.
39 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.
40 And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also?
41 Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.
[Dr. Jose B. Perez] In the message “SEARCHING THE SCRIPTURES,” Dr. William Soto Santiago tells us, which was preached on December 29, 1985, in San Felipe, Venezuela; our brother William says:
SEARCHING THE SCRIPTURES
Dr. William Soto Santiago
Sunday, December 29, 1985
San Felipe, Yaracuy, Venezuela
And what a human being can know in the time in which he lives is always what God is doing in that time, because it is beneficial to the person who can understand it; but that itself becomes judgment, and that is why judgment comes upon those who cannot understand it; and reject it, despise it, without knowing that they are rejecting eternal life, that they are rejecting what God has for the benefit of the human being.
That’s the way it has always been.
That’s the way it will be in this time. What God has for this time will be what will bring them the great blessings that God has promised the human beings, but it will also be what will bring the divine judgments that God has appointed in Scripture to those who cannot understand and cannot receive; because the blessing and the curse always come. That is why He said: “I set before you a blessing and a curse, life and death.”
[Dr. Jose B. Perez] And it says there: “Therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live,” that same Scripture says. Let’s look for it, to have it here as well. In Deuteronomy, in chapter 11, it says, verse 26:
Deuteronomy 11:26
26 Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse;
27 A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day:
28 And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.
[Dr. Jose B. Perez] In another place, let’s see here, where it says: “Therefore, choose life, that thou may live…;” “therefore, choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live,” something like that. But also here in Deuteronomy, chapter 30, verse 15 and on, it says:
Deuteronomy 30:15
15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;
16 In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
17 But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;
18 I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.
19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
20 That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.
[Dr. Jose B. Perez] Now notice, our brother William continues to say here [“SEARCHING THE SCRIPTURES”]:
[WSS] That is why He said: “I set before you a blessing and a curse, life and death.”
That’s the way it is, and you and I can’t do anything to make it any other way; but we can do something. The most important thing we can do so that it’s good for us, to be able to receive the divine blessing, to be able to receive all the promises that God has made for His children: we can receive them by believing and receiving what God has promised for our time.
And as Jesus said on one occasion when He was asked: “What shall we do,” or “what shall I do to do the Work of God?”
Many people thought that such and such a thing had to be done, and He said to them: “It is simple: that you believe…”
[JBP] That is, many people say: “No; to do the Work of God is to do this work, this labor here and there.” Of course! That is one of the things that must always be done in the Program that God has in every age and in every dispensation, through that messenger that God raises; which, the first thing to do is to believe in the One who is sent; and then to work in the labors relevant to the One that is sent, who comes bringing that Message, the fulfillment of the prophecies; and that messenger then has a work to carry out.
And then God, with that group who is called and gathered with that Message, brought by that messenger, works hand in hand with that instrument; but first they have to believe in that instrument, and then they do the labor, the work relevant to that time.
But what good is it for them to work in the labor, or in a certain work, if they don’t believe in the One sent by God whom He has sent at that time, in that age or in that dispensation? It’s of no use for him to carry out the work, the labor. And they can’t say: “Well, it’s because I did this work, that work, that other work”; but if they don’t believe in the messenger that God has sent for that time in which the person is living, it’s of no use to them.
Now, here he gives us a very great teaching; because the first thing a person has to do is to believe in the One who is sent.
[“SEARCHING THE SCRIPTURES”]
[WSS] Many people thought that such and such a thing had to be done, and He said to them: “It is simple: that you believe…”
But people may have said: “But I believe what Moses said. I believe the Bible. I believe what is preached in my church, in the synagogue that I attend, I believe what is preached in the temple, and I believe what the High Priest preaches when he speaks the Scripture.” That was good, but it wasn’t the best…
[JBP] There are people who can say: “I believe in the Message of Moses, of the Bible, of what brother Branham said, of what our brother William said. I believe in the Message. I believe what the minister says. But see, that’s very good, but it’s not the best.
Now, he says - he goes on to say:
[WSS] … and much less in those days when the ministers of that time, the high priest and all the ministers of that time… 99% had a very bad opinion of Jesus. If the high priest preached and spoke of Jesus, what he spoke was against, so that they couldn’t receive Him.
[JBP] There is an excerpt that we read recently, which said [WSS] what was it worth for them to know the life of Jesus or of that instrument, if later on they were going to use that exactly to fight against, to point out things against Him*. And, see, it was of no use for him to know the life or to have knowledge about the life of Jesus, if afterwards he was going to use that against him.
*[Study “Getting ready for the final battle,” 14/Oct/2024 (Monday), pp. ___-___]: 1977-05-01 “Adopted by Jesus Christ”
Now notice, the high priest…, it says here:
[WSS] If the high priest preached and spoke of Jesus, what he spoke was against, so that they couldn’t receive Him.
So, in those days it was not a matter of saying: “I believe what my church, or my synagogue, says or teaches through the minister we have there…,” but rather, Jesus said: “That you believe in the One He has sent.”
[Dr. Jose B. Perez] That is in the Gospel according to John, chapter 6, verse 28; says… John, chapter 6, verse 28 and on it says:
John 6:28
28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
[JBP] That was the Work that they had to carry out first; later on, the other things would be added on, the others things were the Work that would be carried out; in other words, being hand in hand with Jesus in His ministry. And that’s how it is at this time as well.
[Dr. Jose B. Perez] Now, he continues saying [“SEARCHING THE SCRIPTURES”]:
[WSS] After John the Baptist finished his six-month teaching, the other person divinely qualified and ordained to teach human beings had a name. It was not Caiaphas, although Caiaphas was the high priest; he was a man who had not been educated in universities nor in theological institutions or seminaries of that time to teach religion to the people of that time, instead He was a man who had once said: “I have come down from Heaven,” [John 6:38] and “No man has ascended to Heaven but He who came down from Heaven, even the Son of Man which is in Heaven,” [John 3:13] even though he was on Earth.
[Dr. Jose B. Perez] He read to us, in this message that we are going to hear today, an excerpt from The Ages, from page 80 to 81; but let’s just read the last paragraph on page 81 [p. 78 in Eng.]. He says:
Now you will notice that Jesus is walking alone in the midst of His churches. There is no one else with Him. Neither indeed can there be, for He alone wrought her salvation, and having purchased her with His own blood He owns her. He is her Lord and Master. She gives Him all the glory and that glory He will not share with another. There is no pope with Him. There is no archbishop with Him. Mary, the mother of His earthly body, is not with Him. He does not speak and turn to a Father, for He is the Father ([JBP] and on the right he writes): [WSS] «Jesus Christ is God, Lord». He does not turn to give orders to a Holy Spirit, for He is God, eternal Spirit ([JBP] and on the right, there are also three circles, one inside the other), and it is His Life that is flowing and pulsating in the church giving her life, and without Him there would be no life. Salvation is of the Lord.
[JBP] And there he writes: [WSS] «God = the Eternal Spirit».
[Dr. Jose B. Perez] And he continues to say here [“SEARCHING THE SCRIPTURES”]:
[WSS] And those words cannot be understood, unless one knows that Jesus was a true prophet and had both consciouses together, and the Word was or had been made flesh.
“In the beginning was the Word, the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” [John 1:1] “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,” [John 1:14] and His Name was Jesus. And being on Earth among human beings, He was also in Heaven: He lived in another dimension. That’s what prophets are like: they live both worlds; and they see and bring from that other world, of God, into the world of humans.
And Jesus often said that He saw such-and-such a thing was coming, but He was not seeing it here on Earth, He was seeing it in another world. That is why He said: “I speak nothing but what I hear the Father speak.” [John 12:49] “And I do nothing, but what I see the Father do.” [John 5:19; 8:28] “The words that I speak, I do not speak of Myself.” [John 14:10]
So, those words that He spoke were from another world. That’s why they were so strange to human beings, because it was not the common way that ministers of that time spoke, who were always telling people: “God will do. God is going to do such-and-such a thing.” But they could never say to people: “God is doing such-and-such a thing, according to the Scriptures.”
[JBP] That’s why today the Holy Spirit tells the people through that instrument: This day this prophecy, that prophecy, that prophecy is being fulfilled! Today the fulfillment of the Coming of the Son of Man with His Angels, of the Coming of the white horse Rider of Revelation, chapter 19, verse 11 and on, is being carried out.
In other words, in each time each messenger could speak in that way: “This day is this Scripture fulfilled,” the Scripture of sending that messenger to carry out that Work in every age and in every dispensation.
[WSS] “Let’s examine the Scriptures so that we see what God is doing.” That was the difference.
And what the human being needs to know is what God is doing at the time in which he is living. That’s why one has to examine the Scriptures, to see which Scriptures pertain to the time in which one lives.
[JBP] Which we talked about yesterday, in the greeting that we sent to Chile*. He says:
*[Study “Searching the Scripture to see the things promised for this end time,” 24/Oct/2024 (Thursday)]
[WSS] Because what good is it for a person to know the Scriptures that were fulfilled thousands of years ago, and not know the ones that are being fulfilled in the time in which he lives?
When a person does not know the Scriptures that pertain to the time in which he lives, when he does not know the promises that God has made for the time in which he lives, he is spiritually illiterate; he is the most ignorant person who lives on this Earth ([JBP] notice who are the real ignorant people on this planet Earth), even if he went to the best universities on this Earth.
In the time of Jesus, they studied a lot, the great ministers of that time had studied a lot…
[JBP] That’s why, what good is it for a person to study a lot, to know a lot of things about sociology and a lot of philosophy, and a lot of things about self-esteem, and things like that, if they are spiritually illiterate? What good is it for them to have all that university knowledge, if they don’t know the prophecies relevant to the time in which they live? They are spiritually illiterate, and they are the most ignorant people on this planet Earth. It is as simple as that.
[WSS] … but what God was doing those days was known by those intellectually ignorant people, who were [serving] following the Lord Jesus.
And when Jesus asked: “Whom do men say is the Son of Man?”, they began to say: “Some say that you are one of the prophets that has risen again, or that you are John the Baptist…” Therefore, they did not know that Jesus was the Messiah; He was the Son of Man manifesting Himself to fulfill the Messianic promises for that time.
But when they ask His followers, probably the least intelligent, the one who had studied the least, a fisherman…
[JBP] Oh! How I have seen that in all these tours!: simple country people, people who (many of them) don’t have the opportunity to study; who perhaps don’t know…, and many of them have written to me through another brother saying: “I don’t know how to write, I haven’t been able to go to school; I haven’t been able to learn how to read or write. ButI do know one thing: that you are the fulfillment of what God promised for this time! You are the one I was waiting for!” See? Then he becomes an extremely intelligent person! That is, compared to people educated at universities, who couldn’t understand or haven’t understood the fulfillment of the prophecies for this end time. All those studies are of no use to him if he has not been able to recognize the Divine Program relevant to this time.
[WSS] … when Jesus asks: “And you, who do you say that the Son of Man is? Who is the Son of Man to you? Who do you say the Son of Man is?” The most seemingly ignorant person said: “You; You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” [Matthew 16:13-17]
[Dr. Jose B. Perez] Now see, it’s like that Scripture that we read, verse 35 and on (at the beginning). Let’s read there in verse 9 - in chapter 9, verse 1; let’s read this portion here that we didn’t read at the beginning, but let’s read it so you can see there; this - on this occasion when jesus healed that blind man, it says:
John 9:1
1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.
2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,
7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.
8 The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged?
9 Some said, This is he: others said, He is like him: but he said, I am he.
[JBP] In other words, it’s like: “Look! Yes! It’s me! I can see, it’s me!” Meaning, they knew him. It is like how they knew Lazarus when he resurrected. But see, the unbeliever, there is no way, there is no way to make him understand, or believe.
10 Therefore said they unto him, How were thine eyes opened?
11 He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight.
[JBP] Now, with this testimony alone, everyone should have believed.
But see, this is how it is in the spiritual realm. There are people who say to others: “Wow, I was spiritually blind, and now I am seeing what I didn’t see before, and I am understanding everything that God promised: that in a Great Tent Cathedral, a Teaching would be given, that the Rapturing Faith would be given. I once was blind but now I see!”
That’s enough for other people to start searching, or for that person to start searching. And: “Wait a minute! If he says that He opened his spiritual eyes…, I’m not seeing this and I want to see this too; I’m spiritually blind - spiritually speaking, and I want God to open my spiritual eyes too.” Because that is the greatest miracle that God can do: to open a person’s spiritual eyes.
12 Then said they unto him, Where is he? He said, I know not.
13 They brought to the Pharisees him that aforetime was blind.
14 And it was the sabbath day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes.
15 Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and do see.
[JBP] That is the second time.
16 Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them.
[JBP] Right away they start to bring up things from Jesus’ past; because they said of Him that He was a gluttonous man, a wine drinker, a friend of publicans and harlots. In other words, He was a man who was around the people; and see, they quickly start bringing things up about Him; let’s say, over here, between… airing out Jesus’ dirty laundry; instead of searching the Scriptures and seeing what was promised for the Hebrew people at that time, so that they wouldn’t overlook it; and would choose the blessings instead.
Well, in the end, what did they receive? The curses, the divine judgments. See? What was the use of condemning Jesus, speaking ill of Him and all that, if in the end they are there in the fifth dimension? It didn’t do them any good.
The joy, the happiness, the joking, the mockery and all that, it was just for that short time that they were living. Then afterwards, notice…, the case of that rich man, what good was it for him to have all the riches in the world, if over there later on he was crying out to father Abraham to send Lazarus with his finger dipped in water to put it on his tongue? He couldn’t even afford to buy water there [Luke 16:19-31].
See? It is of no use to a person who does not receive and who is not elected of God, predestined by God, to be an elect and to see the Program that God is carrying out in that time in which the person is living.
17 They say unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, that he hath opened thine eyes? He said, He is a prophet.
[JBP] Look, a person who was blind, hadn’t seen with his eyes for a long time, let’s say, surely they told him, for sure they spoke to him about Jesus and what He was carrying out; and look at the great revelation that this person speaks there in front of them and testifies in front of people who were religious, knew the Scriptures, kept the Sabbath and were blameless, and the revelation that he gave them there:
17 …He is a prophet.
18 But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind ([JBP] there we have the unbelievers), and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight.
[JBP] That is to say, his testimony was not enough, neither were the neighbors’ comments: “Yes, that’s him, he’s the one who was always begging around there, he was blind.” Now they call the parents; because they are such cowards that right away they involve the family. That’s how the devil is: cowardly; and they call the parents there.
19 And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? how then doth he now see?
20 His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind:
21 But by what means he now seeth, we know not; or who hath opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for himself.
22 These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.
[JBP] That is, they already had that as a law there: “We don’t…, we don’t want such a person to come here to talk about Jesus; and if he believes in Him, we don’t want him either.”
23 Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him.
24 Then again called they the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give God the praise: we know that this man is a sinner.
[JBP] Again there they inject that person with something negative about Jesus, see? The devil, to try to root up that faith that the person had said and had testified that Jesus was a prophet sent by God. But the devil is quick: with sin in hand; because that is always how he attacks: with sin, which is in his kingdom, he brings it out (from where people have cast it away), he brings it out and puts it in the hands of those people, of those instruments, and that is how those instruments speak with their mouth, with their actions; in other words, they have the sin of God’s elect in their hands.
25 He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.
26 Then said they to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he thine eyes?
27 He answered them, I have told you already ([JBP] here goes the third time), and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his disciples?
[JBP] Now he was winning them over. Hehehe!
28 Then they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses’ disciples.
[JBP] Many also say: “No; we aren’t his disciples, of that instrument, of that man who is there talking in the Tent. We are disciples of brother Branham;” or others say: “We are disciples of Dr. William Soto Santiago.” How the same thing repeats itself at this end time!
29 We know that God spake unto Moses: as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is.
[JBP] Haha, that’s exactly what they say: “Well, nothing is said about that guy, not in the Bible, nor here nor there.” Well, they haven’t seen it because they don’t have revelation from Above. As simple as that.
And no one knew the Seventh Seal, it was a total secret. That revelation was going to come directly to the soul of every elect, of every predestined of God, elected of God, who would love His Coming; and who would receive It and who will be transformed.
Those who don’t receive the Coming of the Son of Man with His Angels at this time: “Don’t get dressed, because you’re not going” to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. Only those who receive the Seventh Seal, the fulfillment of the Coming of the Lord, go there. As simple as that.
30 The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes.
31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.
[JBP] Notice what profound words this man is speaking here.
32 Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind.
33 If this man were not of God, he could do nothing.
34 They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out.
[JBP] The very Word that he spoke to them ate them up inside and got them so angry that they cast him out; instead of sitting down, to search the Scriptures, and see what God had promised, and see that what was taking place there was one of the works that the Messiah would do when He was in the midst of the Hebrew people.
[Dr. Jose B. Perez] Now, look, our brother William continues to say here [“SEARCHING THE SCRIPTURES”]:
[WSS] Perhaps Peter didn’t know much theology, or didn’t know anything about theology, or theological terms, but he knew the greatest thing that could be known those days, and that was: to know who was the man that was fulfilling the divine promises for that time, and who was the man that they had to hear, and who had the divine teaching for those days, concerning the Word of God; and who was the One in whom they had to believe.
Others said: “I believe the high priest. What he says, that is what I believe.” “I believe (another might say) the minister in charge of the synagogue that I attend.” And that was faithfulness to a church, to a synagogue. But when the time comes in which God fulfills what He promised for the time in which you live, you are called to believe what God is doing in which you live, otherwise, all the divine benefits —no matter how many blessings, benefits, God has promised for that time— they will be far beyond your reach; because they are only for those who can believe what God is doing for that time; because that is when the divine blessing comes.
That’s why Jesus could say: “Except ye believe that I am He, ye shall die in your sins.” And they were holy people, people who were very set apart…
[Dr. Jose B. Perez] Let’s see. That it is in John, chapter 8, verse 20 onwards, where it tells us:
John 8:20
20 These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come.
21 Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come.
22 Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come.
23 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.
[JBP] The elect of God at this end time also say the same thing, and the instrument as well.
But notice, here Jesus is giving them a great revelation, this is solid food to them.
24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
[JBP] Now look, one was required to believe that Jesus was the Christ, the Anointed One, the Messiah; because otherwise: they would die in their sins; and that is what happened.
And at this end time it is the same thing: If you don’t believe that I am, you will die in your sins; because at this end time, through the ministries of Moses and Elijah, God is extending mercy for the last time.
25 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning.
26 I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.
27 They understood not that he spake to them of the Father.
28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
29 And he that sent me is with me ([JBP] and He is with me as well, and with all the elect as well) the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
[Dr. Jose B. Perez] Now notice, He said there: “When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am He.” Now look, that, in the book of The Seals, on page 369 to 370; there, in that first paragraph already, it’s a continuation of what he is speaking on 369; he says [P. 425]:
363 And there they was. They had no place to go, no retreat. And the Bible said here, “They called for the…Cried to the rocks and the mountains, to, ‘Fall on us, and hide us from the—from the face of the…and the wrath of the Lamb.’”
[JBP] He had written there: [WSS] «Lion».
[JBP] Now there you realize that in that manifestation there is no more mercy there but rather it’s judgment. Because He comes in mercy first, which was fulfilled in brother Branham, where in paragraph 183 of the book of Quotations* he tells us about all this; and then it’s in judgment, he says there.
*[58-0109 - “The Called-Out,” p. 9, para. 24]
But notice it was shown what that would be at this end time, in this stage in which the ministries of Moses and Elijah are operating in the midst of the Church, first in a time period in mercy and then in judgment.
[Dr. Jose B. Perez] Now our brother William continues saying here [“SEARCHING THE SCRIPTURES”]:
[WSS] But, nevertheless…
[JBP] And they were holy people, people who were very set apart.
[WSS] … but, nevertheless —they all had the great sin, and the only sin there is, which is unbelief— because they couldn’t believe in the greatest thing that was taking place those days.
[JBP] The greatest sin that people have today is the sin of unbelief; because they haven’t been able to believe the great Work that God is carrying out at this end time; and the great sin that they have is unbelief.
[WSS] … they could not believe in the One sent by God; and that is the greatest sin they were committing in those days. And that is the sin that would lead them to damnation; because the Light came into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light. [John 3:19]
And they could teach many religions at that time; but religion doesn’t save anyone, it doesn’t take anyone to Heaven. But the Program that God has for the time in which you live takes you as far as God has appointed God’s elect for that time.
[JBP] At this time brother Branham said it: [WMB] “If anyone would fully come into this Message, it would send him into the rapture, into eternity, without knowing it.”* That is entering into the depths of the pure Word, where the revelation of the Seventh Seal is being given, which is what brings the Rapturing Faith to every man, woman elected of God.
*[63-0714M - “Why Cry? Speak!” p. 12, para. 70]
[WSS] And to understand that, it does not come by human wisdom. That is why when Peter said to Him: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God,” meaning, the messenger, the Anointed One for this time, the Messiah, Jesus said to him: “Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona, for flesh and blood have not revealed it unto you, but My Father which is in Heaven.” [Matthew 16:13-17]
A revelation from another world, from another dimension, was being manifested for those who were following Jesus. They were the ones who understood, who comprehended, and who believed that Jesus was the fulfillment of the Messianic promise for that time. And since they were the ones who believed that way, they were the blessed ones.
[Dr. Jose B. Perez] On a little paper, he writes:
[WSS] «The fulfillment of Scripture. The vine and the grape plant».
And in the writing he continues:
«For what is written of Me has a fulfillment. Everything that God, the Lord Jesus Christ will do, will be through His children, the chosen ones, who are the members of His Mystical Body today; and thus He will fulfill every promise of the Scripture.
It’s a beautiful and marvelous thing to see the Scripture being fulfilled through us».
[JBP] And that there, surely Peter was amazed, joyful, rejoicing, happy, that the Scriptures were also being fulfilled in him.
And God’s elect at this time, the Church-Bride as well. It is a beautiful and wonderful thing for us to be able to see the fulfillment of the Scriptures and be part of the fulfillment of those Scriptures.
[“SEARCHING THE SCRIPTURES”]
[WSS] Blessedness always lies in believing what God has for the time in which one lives ([JBP] I am continuing to read from the message). That is why it is necessary to always be examining the Scriptures. That is why Jesus said: “Search the Scriptures, for they are they testify of Me.”
Whenever God sends a messenger, the Scripture will be testifying of that messenger that God had promised to send.
[JBP] Now, we have seen how important or the importance of searching the Scriptures.
“WOMEN WHO SERVE CHRIST” is the subject that we have for today; but it is a subject that contains many important things for everyone: men, children, adults and everyone; despite him titling it like this here: “WOMEN WHO SERVE CHRIST.”
So, let’s stand and thus leave with us right away our dear brother and friend Dr. William Soto Santiago.
