BIBLE STUDY #193
SUNDAY, APRIL 10, 2022
PART 1
*Rev. Jose B. Perez*
**Scripture: Psalms 32:1-2** **FAITH IN CHRIST AS THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH ** _Dr. William Soto Santiago _ _Sunday, May 22, 1994 _ _(Second activity) _ _Mexico City, Mexico_ Faith is accompanied by revelation, the divine knowledge of God’s Program for the time in which one lives; and because by faith a man is justified: by faith Abel, offering this more excellent sacrifice than that which Cain offered, pleased God, and received testimony that he was righteous1; for the righteous by faith shall live, and the righteous by faith pleases God. For without faith it is impossible to please God.2It is required that the person knows the relevant Program of God for the time in which he lives, so that then he can offer to God his offerings and sacrifices, and can approach God with the offering or sacrifice that corresponds to that time. **ETERNALLY YOUNG ** _Dr. William Soto Santiago _ _Friday, July 20, 2001 _ _Cordoba, Veracruz, Mexico_ Everything you say is recorded in that fourth dimension. And that is why the Scripture says: “By your words you will be justified or condemned”3; because everything is recorded. And even the thoughts of the heart of the people are recorded; and God can bring them to the sight and hearing of the people. Reverend William Branham says that people’s thoughts speak louder in Heaven than our words. In other words, when you are thinking, you are speaking louder than when you are physically speaking; in other words, in Heaven they are listening to you louder when you are thinking than when you are speaking. When you are speaking, you speak at a normal level; but when you are thinking, you are shouting, it is as if you were shouting; in other words, crying out, they say in some places; in other words, you are speaking with your heart shouting. That is why also the psalmist says: “My soul cries out for you.”4 **THE HERALD OF JUSTICE ** _Dr. William Soto Santiago _ _Sunday, December 14, 2003 _ _Cayey, Puerto Rico_ And just as all those dispensational prophets were heralds of righteousness: The Angel of the Lord Jesus Christ, for the Last Day, is the prophet of the Dispensation of the Kingdom, and is the herald of righteousness; is the herald of righteousness of the Last Day, is the herald of righteousness of the seventh millennium and is the herald of righteousness of the seventh dispensation; proclaiming the justification of the human being in and through Jesus Christ our Savior. [Rev. Jose B. Perez] In the book of The Seals, on page 475 [p. 566 in Eng.], it tells us... we can read from here. He says:[333] And if there’s anybody that despises wrong, and people saying something that’s actually lies and not the Truth, I hate that.334 But I—I do love the solid Truth, no matter how much It interrupts this way or that way. If It’s Truth, God will finally show It as Truth. And if He doesn’t do that, one of these days soon, then my vision wasn’t right. Now you see where I just laid myself.335 “When will it be, Brother Branham?” I cannot tell you. I do not know.336 But, one of these days, if we never meet again on this earth, we’re going to meet yonder at the—at the Judgment Seat of Christ. And you’ll find out, that, in that room, the revelation coming from God, just like all the rest of them has, that Them...One of the mystery of that Seal, the reason It wasn’t revealed, It was Seven Thunders that uttered Their voices. And there It is, perfectly. Because, nothing knows anything about It. It wasn’t even written. So, we’re at the end time. We are here. I thank God for His Word.”[JBP] And beside it he writes there:[WSS] «The Throne of Judgment = His AngelThe Throne of Mercy = Jesus».[Rev. Jose B. Perez] And in the message “REVELATION, CHAPTER 4 #2,”5 on page 48, it says:228 As we seen them, now, that was God’s Throne in Heaven, Moses patterned It on earth, was God’s Throne because His judgment seat was represented here on earth in the Holy of holy. God… All Israel come to that one place to find mercy, ’cause God only met under the shed blood.”[JBP] He writes there: [WSS] «The Throne of God / Judgment Seat = Most Holy Place_»._ 229 Now, listen close. Then the Shekinah Glory ([JBP] In other words, the Logos, he writes on the side): [WSS] «Logos» raised from that mercy seat one day, and It settled on another Tabernacle (Amen!), this One, “The Father judges no man but He’s committed all judgment to the Son.” God’s Judgment Seat. Whew! “You speak against Me, it’ll be forgiven you,” speak another—another One coming, another Mercy Seat ([JBP] And writes): [WSS] «Throne», and on the side: [WSS] «Moses and Elijah». “Speak… you speak against the Son of man, I will forgive you ([JBP] I think I read this from the book of Quotations, an excerpt that was posted there yesterday; but here it is straight from the book…); but someday the Holy Spirit will come to dwell in the hearts of the people, one word against It will never be forgiven.”230 It keeps getting more severe and more severe all the time, the judgment, ’cause God is continually wearing His patience out, trying to get sinners to come to Him to be reconciled. First, He was in the heavens above and shining through the stars. The second, He was on earth shining through the Shekinah Glory. Next, He come and was made flesh and dwelt among us, still wearing His patience. Then He redeemed man by His Blood, came into His Church in the form of the Holy Ghost, and speak against That it’s a finished thing, done.231 Now you can see where the shaking come. Where the time, they don’t realize. People can’t comprehend what It means.232 Now, the first Throne was in Heaven, judgment seat. The second Throne was in Christ. The third Throne is in man.”[JBP] And he writes: [WSS] «M. and E., the Church, the Most Holy Place_»._ And also next to it he writes: [WSS] «Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit_»._ There in The Seals, he also writes 134 [WSS] «Seals – 134_»._ There he also speaks something about that too.[Rev. Jose B. Perez] And also here, in this same book, on page 43 [p. 36, paras. 201-203], he says:201 Watch! It’s such a beautiful picture here, don’t miss it, “the Throne.”202 You know, let’s go back to Moses. Moses...We ain’t got time to dig it up, so you just take what I’m saying. Moses, when he was give a vision up on Mount Sinai...203 I want you to notice that this was not a Throne of grace no more.[Rev. Jose B. Perez] He quotes there “SOULS THAT ARE IN PRISON NOW.”6 Let’s see what he says there, since he writes it there, 49, he says:[352] But the moon set there, and when it just even turns its head, the tides start running in.”353 This wise old man ([JBP] and he writes): [WSS] «Moses and Elijah» who lived there in the presence of it, knowed what time that was. This guy didn’t know. He never studied it. He didn’t care about it. And this wise old man run out, and said, “My good man, darest thou go any farther. Turn back, quickly. There is a wall. You can’t get up the wall. You’ll perish. The... It’s the signs are on, the time. The—the tide will gush in all at once, and you cannot return. Don’t go any farther.”354 And the man turned around, and laughed at him, said, “Go take care of your own business. I know what I can do and what I can’t.” And the tides caught him. See?[JBP] Next to it he writes: [WSS] «the wise and the know-it-all», and he writes: [WSS] «The Judgment». [Rev. Jose B. Perez] He goes on to say here on 50 [P. 49]:355 It may be later than we think. See? It’ll catch you. Don’t go any further. Don’t you do it, people. If you’ve always believed in me as being God’s servant, take my word this morning, if you ever did. It might be already too late. So much Scripture shows it that way. Now, remember, I don’t say that it is. I don’t know. But just look.356 And I’ve cut off about ten pages here, that I was afraid to tell you. See? See? Mrs. Wood is a record of that, and Mr. Wood. When I went down this morning to see them, I said, “I—I can’t tell them that, can’t go that far. I’ll just put this much Scripture, and leave it with them, ’cause it’s going to be taped.” It’ll go.357 And the people will laugh at this Message. It’s all right, it’ll be a past turning back, one of these days. Go on, just be a church member. Cut off your hair, paint your face. Go on, and take “Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,” if you want to, that, make it three Gods and be a heathen. Go on, stick to your organization. Do so, if you want to.358 Say, “I danced in the Spirit, I spoke with tongues; I got It.”359 I’ve seen devils do the same thing.[JBP] And he writes something next to it: [WSS] «Fear». That is where I leave it. If we have the time we will read 54 as well, but let’s continue here, he says (where we left off)... And he goes on to say, page 43 of “REVELATION, CHAPTER 4 #2” [P. 36]:203 I want you to notice that this was not a Throne of grace no more. There, the blood had been gone, and the sacrifice was back again and they had been accepted, and the blood was off the mercy seat. And it was now a judgment seat because thunders and lightning issued off of it. Is that right?204 Remember, it was like Mount Sinai. When Moses went on Mount Sinai, what happened? Thunder, lightning. And even if a cow or a calf or a sheep, or anyone, even touched the mountain, it must die. The Bible said, “So great was the quake till even Moses feared it.” And Mos-... He said, “Take off your shoes here, you’re on Holy grounds.” Joshua the great warrior, was to take the children over and divide their inheritance, could only come halfway up the mountain.[JBP] He writes there: [WSS] «Joshua could climb halfway up the mountain». 205 Here stood Moses up there with the colors of God’s flashes and lightnings and emeralds around him, watching them commandments be written. Standing in the Presence of God, that Voice speaking back out, “Moses, where are you? Take off your shoes, you’re on Holy ground.”206 A judgment seat, it was now, nothing could stand there but the redeemed. Sinner could not approach it at all (it’s finished), the judgment seat. All right.207 Now, Moses made things on earth, made the tabernacle, like the things that he saw in Heaven.[JBP] He writes: [WSS] «Throne of Judgment», and he writes: [WSS] «The tabernacle which Moses saw in Heaven», and he writes there: [WSS] «Saint Paul». Further on he speaks there also that: the same that the apostle John saw.[Rev. Jose B. Perez] He goes on to say here [Bible study]:Through Jesus Christ, the human being, by faith in Christ, is justified; that is the righteousness that the herald of righteousness of the Last Day will be proclaiming. Just as every angel messenger of each of the Church ages was the herald of righteousness of his age, and proclaimed righteousness by faith in Christ. And every person who didn’t receive Christ in the past ages of the Church: wasn’t justified before God, because he didn’t believe in Christ; for justification is by faith in Jesus Christ our Savior. Therefore, in this end time, the herald of righteousness of the Last Day is the herald of righteousness that will proclaim righteousness by faith in Christ to the gentiles of this end time; and they will be called, with that Message, the elect of the Last Day, in the stage of the Age of the Cornerstone. And then He will call the elect of the Hebrew people, which are 144,000 Hebrews; and the Message of the Gospel of Christ will be known by the 144,000 Hebrews, who will believe in Christ, will believe in the Second Coming of Christ and the First Coming of Christ. Therefore, the herald of righteousness of the Last Day is the one who will take the Gospel from among the gentiles to the Hebrew people; to proclaim, among the Hebrew people and among the 144,000 Hebrews, the righteousness, which is through faith in Jesus Christ our Savior. [Rev. Jose B. Perez] And in the message… this is an excerpt that was placed here in this book of “THE SQUEEZE,” of the message “GOD JUDGES THE HEART,” preached on December 26, 1976, it says (page 49 of this volume, of this book):(...) I believe that this hour is approaching, and as it is approaching then we have to be prepared for everything that the Lord has, because what the Lord has in this hour is really great; it is inconceivable, and surely we are going to see many things that are promised that will be seen. That of Ananias and Sapphira will be something that is going to happen, it is inevitable because it is told there. Now, someday I will explain to you how that is going to happen. How did the Ananias and Sapphira happen there? How did the spoken Word come for it to happen? Who was it? Well, he was a type of Moses and Elijah. See? Then one of the three that went up there, one was in that position and could speak the Word and bring judgment; and notice, it was in the beginning, now we are in the end.He brought partial judgment, now it will be world judgment; but it has to move according to what is promised. It’s not just like that without rhyme or reason to do things. There is an order, and it is the Word; and from there one can’t go out of order for things to be done. There will be things that will fill us with rejoicing, with joy, but there will also be things that will fill us with sadness, but what can you do?Look, when… in that time of the Jewish Church back in the beginning, there were many things that filled the people with joy; but when Ananias and Sapphira happened, it filled everyone with sadness.Do you think that Ananias and Sapphira were... that couple, that marriage, were they just anything? No, they were important people in the midst of the brethren, they were economically well off, they were people who worked in the Work, they were very loved people.Look, notice, in the Scripture it doesn’t speak to us of just any person; it speaks to us of people who had an important part in the history of the Word. Just like Dathan and Korah, they weren’t just anybody, they were great people. Judas wasn’t just anybody, he was a great person. See? And also Ananias and Sapphira were important people at that time.Imagine that when the time came that there was a need for certain things, for the Gospel to spread among the Jews… Did you hear that? Then…, because they didn’t go out with that Gospel to another place, but that Gospel was for the Jews; then there was need among them and then those who had property…, you see?, some brother had, well, he had his little house and he lived in his little house, but besides that he had another property...He said: “Well, we are in a time when we have to do what has to be done, and there are needs (and they saw the needs). Well, what I need is a place to lie down to sleep [MISSING AUDIO] when I get sleepy, and a bite to eat, and the rest is for the Work; so I have such and such property.” They sold it, the Bible says, and laid it at the feet of the apostles. But one did what he shouldn’t have done. Not that he was doing what he did wrong, to bring a part, no; it was right, if he wanted to bring a part, let him bring it; what was wrong was (what?) to have said that he had brought it all. And since God judges the intent of the heart, God didn’t judge the appearance of, “Oh, how much he brought!” Maybe he brought more than Barnabas. Barnabas sold a piece of property and brought it, “There’s all the money.” A man of the Lord. So, well, that gave a push to the Work, the others did the same; because when one does it, the rest starts and sees that there is a need and they do it; and then one did it in a wrong way. That is why we always say: If you are going to do something, do it in the right way, do it with all your heart —-that is the first thing—, because God looks at the heart and God judges the heart; so God didn’t care about all that he had brought. Maybe it was more, maybe that little part he brought was more than what the others had brought; but God didn’t like that because of the intention that was in the heart. See?So, there then the Spirit of God in the messenger for that Age of the Kingdom, for that Hebrew age, the messenger for that age, which was a type of this age in which we live, then what happened? He was anointed to speak what he spoke and bring the judgment that he brought. Now, how many of you, maybe now from history you say, “Well done, he did well, it was well done, that he did it; because there shouldn’t have been any brother doing those things and putting in lie after lie —as we say—, lies. Whoever does a thing should do it right from the heart; if not, then don’t do anything.”But what if you had lived in those days? Maybe you would have… If you hadn’t been very firm and grasping and looking at the picture of that time, you would have said, “You shouldn’t have done that to him, you should have let that one go. Even having said that…, how many don’t lie; even having told his little lie, well, look, he brought more than the others; we who have brought nothing, he brought for us.” But God doesn’t go with that, God judges the heart. Now, I don’t know whether Ananias and Sapphira were lost or not, that is a matter between God and them. Who knows if they were lost or who knows if they weren’t lost, they were part of the group. See?Now, see that this filled the people with sadness, but it also filled them with what? With fear, reverential fear. They saw the authority that was there, they saw the leadership of God through a man, they saw the blessings of God, but they also saw the judgment of God; and everybody then began to walk how? Straighter, and that is a blessing.Which is better: that nothing is done and some walk side to side or that even if judgment falls on some so that it is of benefit to others? See? Now you say, “It was good over there that it happened.”Well, and I ask you, “And what about today when we are promised that the same thing will happen?” But how will it happen, will it happen literally or will it happen spiritually? That is another thing. Will it be with spiritual death or with literal death that will come? Because it says it’s going to come; and that when that happens, then that is the beginning of something important.Well, when we know and hear those things, we are really filled with fear, but not scared; reverential fear; because we want Him when He looks into our heart (and He looks into our heart), and He tells us through the Message how He is looking at us.(...) Well, God bless us this morning, God keep us and help us never to stumble on anything.I already warned you… We have seen many blessings, many glorious things; but also when we see the hand of the Lord in judgment don’t be scandalized; don’t be scandalized, but rather have reverential fear; and if you are not in order in those days, straighten up then, so that God will not bring something that will be something that will not please you; because the judgment begins with the House of the Lord.It started that way back in the apostles’ day. It started there. “And: If the righteous with difficulty be saved, where shall the unfaithful and the sinner appear?” Where then shall the gentiles, the gentile world, this dispensation, this gentile generation of Amorites appear? Yes, because this is the gentile generation that is typified by the Amorites, it is typified by the Sodomites and by those of Gomorrah. So where will they appear? They will appear (where?) in the destruction.[Rev. Jose B. Perez] And that message continues saying (let’s read it at the end, he says here):(...) So we could say a lot about this; and very difficult to say, because they are things that you and I know… You read them there and you read that God said through brother Branham that those cases would come up, the case of Ananias and Sapphira, and he is anxious for it to come; but knowing that Ananias and Sapphira was part of the group, then you realize then that there will be sadness. You see? But it will be the beginning of what? Of a new phase. I don’t know if you have noticed how it has been going from one phase to another.[Rev. Jose B. Perez] And also, I believe we have a little more time to read here another little part of another message. In the message “TOKEN,”7 and he says, page 20:180 Death was striking. God had showed them mercy, showed powers and signs.181 Now let’s stop just for a moment or two, on that clock there. Let’s just think in our minds, back, what He promised would happen in the last days. I wonder if we haven’t just about check up, too. See?182 He had done all these things, and yet they still desired not to repent, or to believe the message of the day. They still didn’t want to do it, although it had been displayed before them, and had been surely made known.183 And when you see such things taking place, it’s a sign of oncoming judgment. Judgment will follow those things. It’s always done it, and this won’t be no exception. See? Judgment follows grace. When mercy is spurned, there is nothing left but judgment. So it will always follow.[JBP] And he writes next to it: [WSS] «The Judgment follows Grace_»._ [Rev. Jose B. Perez] I had another one over here too. Let’s read it at once, since we are reading on this subject of judgment. “GOD DOES NOT CALL MAN TO JUDGMENT WITHOUT FIRST WARNING HIM,”8 it says on page 9:29 Now, everyone has this. We might say, “Well, this fellow died without a warning.” No, no, no. God never...You don’t know what was in that man’s heart, you don’t know what’s been going on in his life. See? God never brings any man to his death without first warning him about it, telling him, it’s something, a preparation. God is—is sovereign, and He—He knocks at the heart of every man, giving him the opportunity to come. Now, he might warn away and turn It down, and—and shake his head to It and walk away, say, ([JBP] in other words, like mocking) “Ah, it’s just a funny feeling, I’ll get over it.” But, anyhow, it was God, God speaking to him.30 And God never even brings judgment upon the earth without first giving the people a warning. God never does nothing without declaring it first what He’s going to do. And He gives people a choice, and you can—you can do right or wrong. That’s His...See, God can never change His—His nature. His program can never change from what He started with, because He’s infinite and His program and His ideas are all perfect. So, if He would change It, that would show that He had learned more. So, being infinite, He cannot learn more. His—His first—His first decision is always perfect, and there’s nothing can ever change It. See?31 God, before man ever was put… had a chance to do wrong, God put him on the basis to where he could accept or deny, he could receive or—or not.[JBP] And he writes next to it: [WSS] «God always gives the opportunity for man to choose». May God help us to be in this time prepared to come out well, and to be one of those who are going to be transformed. There is one…, that caught my attention. And that filled me with a lot of fear, because… I am looking for all those notes that he wrote down there, so I can have all that… (I already found it here). So we have to be, at this time, very, very careful. He writes: [WSS] «Not all born again will enter the Rapture».And that is something that we must take very seriously, because, as it says there, “If the righteous with difficulty be saved, where will the wicked and the sinner appear?”9But you see, if one doesn’t… We wouldn’t have all this; and we would be like this, comfortable, coming, sitting, listening to him (which is very good, because that is what we have to do)... But all this helps us, because they are things that are not placed, brother William didn’t place it.Maybe in another time he had said: [WSS] “Don’t put or don’t photograph or don’t put that in public,” because it was a time that it wasn’t convenient to do it; and some, well, still don’t understand that, they say they don’t agree with that. But if you are a person that doesn’t care about that, this is something that helps us to fix any little thing and be prepared, because this gives us a warning that we have to be —as people of God— ready, prepared; because what God wants is to dwell among His people, that the Pillar of Fire is in our midst, and that there is nothing that will stand in the way of God in His fullness resting on this place. That is why we are preparing ourselves, that is why we are doing all that, you see? It is God leading His people, because somebody has to be doing that, for the people to be ready. And I know that this in the heart has an effect on the chosen one and it recharges; and day by day, we are correcting the little things, to be fully ready to receive the transformation. It is not a matter of being scared, we are the chosen ones of this time, that is why we are here! Why are we here? Because we want to be transformed, and we are going to be transformed, because He promised it.* * *
